About Me
On an average day, I’m probably listening to a podcast, practicing yoga, reading a book, planning a vacation, or hanging out with my dogs.
On a good day, I’m doing all five.
mostly dogs, podcasts, and travel
Before entering academia, I spent over a decade in the communications industry, serving in leadership roles in marketing, public relations, and brand strategy. I also ran my own photography business for more than 10 years.
In the classroom, I focus on inclusive, student-centered learning, teaching courses in media strategy, social justice, and research. I’m committed to creating spaces that explore the intersections of media, identity, and equity. I’m passionate about challenging narratives, amplifying traditionally marginalized voices, and using media as a tool for change.
